Stop Smoking for good with Hypnosis

Problems stopping smoking
If you do smoke then stopping is the best thing you can do for your health. When you really think about it, cigarettes don’t actually give us anything positive; they poison us, cost increasingly more and more, (just think what you could do with all that extra money) and are anti-social. But stopping smoking can be very hard both emotionally and physically. |It is not just the addiction to nicotine but also the habit aspect of smoking that is the problem.
There are also fears about stopping smoking – weight gain, losing your ‘crutch’ or simply that it is not the right time to give up – again.
There are many health benefits to stopping smoking whatever age you are however long you have been smoking. Your body will benefit and recovers fairly quickly from the effects of smoking. According to the NHS:
After 20 minutes - Blood pressure and pulse rate return to normal.
After 8 hours - Nicotine and carbon monoxide levels in blood reduce by half and oxygen levels return to normal.
After 24 hours - Carbon monoxide will be eliminated from the body. Lungs start to clear out mucus and other smoking debris.
After 48 hours - There is no nicotine in the body. Ability to taste and smell is greatly improved.
After 72 hours - Breathing becomes easier. Bronchial tubes begin to relax and energy levels increase.
After 2-12 weeks - Your circulation improves.
After 3-9 months - Coughs, wheezing and breathing problems improve as lung function increases by up to 10%.
After 5 years – Risk of heart attacks falls to about half compared with a person who is still smoking.
After 10 years - Risk of lung cancer falls to half that of a smoker. Risk of heart attack falls to the same as someone who has never smoked.
How I can help you stop smoking with hypnosis
Hypnosis is used to treat a numerous psychological and physical problems – anxiety and stress, pain control, IBS, speech disorders and as an aid to weight loss. Many people find that hypnosis is a good way to help them stop smoking. It can be combined with nicotine replacement patches or medication*.
Hypnosis works by assisting the smoker creating new patterns of thinking so they no longer crave cigarettes. Once you have made the decision to stop smoking, I can help to free you from your nicotine addiction and focus on the positive benefits of not smoking. As with any treatment – you really have to want to stop smoking – for ever – otherwise neither hypnosis nor any other form of treatment will work. The treatment can be used along with other methods such as patches, but e-cigarettes are not recommended*.
My method involves two sessions of 60 – 90 minutes and costs £150 – a bargain when you consider the price of cigarettes! The first session will focus on finding out about your relationship with cigarettes to create a plan that is tailored to your specific needs along with lots of tips and practical advice on how you become a non-smoker. The second session is where the hypnosis work is done. This includes a CD or mp3 recording for self-hypnosis for you to take home and use to help reinforce the idea of being a non-smoker*.
